It ended… ‘nuff said
On we are to update number 2!!! unfortunately for you this one is based entirely on the random shit that I have ran across in the past few weeks !!!!
Sorry I’ve been away so long… I really have been meaning to update daily, but life has been very busy lately. C’est La Vie, no?
here has what you’ve missed:
I decided in an effort to spice up my life (and convince myself that it was worth regularly updating my Tumblr) that I’m going to find something interesting and new to experience and post every night for at least the whole summer. We’ll see how long this lasts…
Tonight I went to a cool new Columbus place called Brothers Drake. With walls adorned with the finest in local indie art, they make mead which, if you didn’t know, is honey wine that bad-ass medieval knights liked to drink.
They hosted a show by the talented bluesy band American Babies who were on the tail end of their “Flawed Logic” tour. I recommend looking into them.
When we asked the bartender about their lack of overt self-promotion he commented something to the effect of ‘we are very new and given the choice between an expensive sign [outside of the building] and more/ better booze, we will take the booze.’
Unfortunately the pictures could never do justice to the atmosphere of passionate purity and local independence that me and my three friends experienced at Brothers Drake. So I suppose you will just have to experience it for yourself.
Good times in Americana.
Nicolas Sarkozy grabbed during public appearance
The dangers of the rope-line: French President Nicolas Sarkozy was grabbed and pulled by a man while walking past a rope-line at a public event today. What we find most interesting about this: “Sarkozy says he will take no action against the man.” Now, we’d be shocked if this guy isn’t in a world of legal trouble right now, but for Sarkozy to openly state he’ll take no action against him sort of surprised us. If this happened to President Obama, we bet there would be a lot more emphasis and on this, both from the administration and the media. source
